Description
Nizoral Dandruff Shampoo is for the treatment and prevention of dandruff and dry or greasy scaling of the scalp (seborrhoeic dermatitis) and has been specially formulated to clear and control the yeasts associated with dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis. If you have had an allergic reaction to Nizoral Dandruff Shampoo or any of the ingredients in the past, then do not use this shampoo. As with most shampoos, if any gets into your eyes bathe them gently with cold water. If you have been using a lotion or cream on your hair, for a long time, which contains a steroid (such as betamethasone or hydrocortisone) to control your dandruff or seborrhoeic dermatitis, then you will need to gradually use it less and less over 2/3 weeks while you start to use your Nizoral dandruff shampoo. This will stop your condition flaring up while your Nizoral dandruff shampoo starts to work. Should you have any questions concerning stopping your steroid lotion or cream, please speak to your doctor or pharmacist. Nizoral Dandruff Shampoo can be used if you are pregnant or during breast feeding and is for external use only. To clear dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis, use your Nizoral Dandruff Shampoo every 3 or 4 days for 2 / 4 weeks. If your scalp has not cleared within 4 weeks, please speak to your pharmacist or doctor. To keep your scalp clear, you should use your Nizoral dandruff shampoo once every 1/2 weeks. Please do not use your Nizoral dandruff shampoo more often than directed. If you need to use a shampoo more often, you can use your usual shampoo. If your hair is very thick, you can wash with your usual shampoo and then use Nizoral dandruff shampoo. Accidental swallowing is normally harmless but as with all externally used products you should tell your doctor straight away. If you stop using Nizoral dandruff shampoo altogether then your dandruff or seborrhoeic dermatitis may become a problem again.
